Applications Open for the Africa and Europe Region UNFCCC CASTT Adaptation Academy
We are excited to announce that applications to participate in the Africa regional UNFCCC CASTT Adaptation Academy are now being accepted.
The deadline to apply is 3 September, and the online training dates will be 27 September - 1 October. The course will consist of a series of lectures and interactive sessions which will run for a maximum of 3 hours per day (from 10am – 1pm CET). Please apply here.

The Africa- and Europe-focused course is organized in partnership between the UN climate change secretariat, AGWA, and IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. This one-week online course provides an opportunity for early- and mid-career adaptation professionals from Africa and Europe to participate in a training program to prepare their climate vulnerability and adaptation assessments within the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) under the Paris Agreement. The primary target for this collaborative partnership is professionals and experts from developing countries who are involved in providing technical and substantive input for the preparation of these reports with a specific focus on adaptation reporting.
The course is part of the broader CASTT Adaptation Academy initiative — a partnership between the UNFCCC secretariat, AGWA, Asian Institute of Technology, Korea Environment Institute, Oregon State University, and IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. Courses focused on LAC (27 September - 1 October) and the Asia-Pacific region (11-15 October) are also scheduled to take place this year. Applications for all courses are currently open.
