This is a comprehensive dialogue and round-table between Wall Street and Main Street with the world’s leading water market experts and innovators about the nexus of water innovation, investment, economics, and global equities - hosted by NASDAQ, the world's second largest equity marketplace at Time Square (New York), and Genesis Systems (USA), developer of a new sustainable and renewable global water supplies.
Water is the economic potential energy of a nation. To avoid the loss of economic energy, increased investment from the private sector must become more robust during the UN's Water Action Decade. But investment will travel with increased accountability and requirements for authentic deliverables and outcomes by the investors, businesses, and industries willing to provide needed capital infusions to build renewable and sustainable water supplies around the world. This increased accountability will in turn drive innovation as key benchmarks are propelled forward and better standards are created and implemented.
As innovation transforms supply-side water globally, investors will be increasingly willing to provide strong capital infusions that create extraordinary opportunities for business, industry, and end-users. Already, major global corporations are preparing to enter water markets with a range of products, services, and offerings with some historians drawing parallels between the early days of Silicon Valley and the emerging era in water technology and renewable water supplies.
These factors and market forces will combine to create rapid economic transformations in almost every nation. Many such transformations will positively affect GDPs in states willing to embrace changes.
This roundtable and dialogue was designed to generate the most substantive discussion on global water and investment ever assembled. It is the ambition of this UN Side Panel to create a memorable and authoritative discussion that historians remember as a watershed in knowledge - a place where market and water experts merged to create a comprehensive picture of how water markets world-wide will develop to become one of the most attractive areas of investment and growth in coming decades as capital advances to meet a range of human needs.
The panel will be moderated by Dr. David Stuckenberg, Scientist and Co-founder at Genesis Systems and Co-Chairman of the FBI/InfraGuard National Water Security Working Group and Chairman of the American Leadership & Policy Foundation.
