AGWA Accepting Nominations for Board of Directors Positions: 2025-2028 Term
The AGWA Board of Directors will have multiple openings at the end of the current term, which concludes at the upcoming Annual Members Meeting on 23 August 2025. We are now seeking nominations for candidates to serve on the Board. Board positions provide a vital service to the AGWA network and come with responsibilities and requirements, as laid out in the Terms of Reference. Terms for these volunteer positions are for three years.
We’re particularly looking to strengthen the Board with individuals with experience in the following areas:
Fundraising with philanthropies, foundations, and the private sector
Developing and managing communications strategies
Nonprofit governance/management and HR
Youth and young professional engagement.
Self-nominations or recommendations for colleagues are being accepted through 13 July 2025. Nomination packets need to include the following materials:
A brief statement of interest (for self nominations) or nomination letter
Official title and affiliation
Headshot photo
Short biosketch (100-250 words)
CV
Nomination packets can be submitted to AGWA’s Chief Operating Officer, Alex Mauroner. Portions of the materials above may be used in the voting packet distributed to members.
Open positions will be voted on by AGWA members through a virtual voting platform from 28 July through 8 August 2025. Outcomes of the vote will be announced at the Annual Members Meeting on 23 August 2025.
