Online Training: Introduction to Climate Risk Informed Decision Analysis (CRIDA)

As part of its Open Learning Platform, UNESCO has launched a free, self-paced introductory course to CRIDA. Climate Risk Informed Decision Analysis, or CRIDA, is an approach to assess and address the risks of climate change and other uncertainties in water management planning, design, operations, and decision making.

Participants of the course will be work through 11 modules of content covering the various steps and applications of CRIDA, as well as case study examples. The course will feature video lectures and hands-on exercises, culminating in a capstone project where the participant is asked to develop their own CRIDA case study using the lessons learned in the course. Course content was developed by UNESCO IHP, AGWA, Deltares, and ICIWaRM.

After successfully completing the course assessments, participants will be awarded with a certificate of completion. The first iteration of the course will run from 2 November through 31 December. Subsequent versions are planned for 2021, including French and Spanish options.
