The CASTT Adaptation Academy aims to enhance the ability of developing countries to prepare, carry out, analyze, and evaluate a range of adaptation actions as part of their national climate commitments, including their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). With a mix of curriculum related to UNFCCC processes and as well as demand-driven topics requested by participating countries, the Adaptation Academy provides an opportunity to ensure that countries are equipped with the latest expertise to carry out climate programming.

This COP28 event will highlight the Adaptation Academy’s value in building a community of practice among national adaptation focal points and others involved in climate programs. Takeaways from the first two years of the capacity building program will be featured, as well as sharing of opportunities for country ministries and individuals to participate in future training.
